New spy shots of the highly anticipated 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 have emerged!
These new spy shots give us the clearer picture yet of what we can expect from the next-generation E63 AMG. The shots were captured as the car was undergoing testing in Spain. The new E63 AMG will feature a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 that is expected to produce well above 503 horsepower and will make use of a dry sump lubrication system.
While Mercedes has not commented on horsepower figures, rumors suggest that the new E63 AMG will produce around 550 horsepower in the standard configuration. The upcoming S model will likely produce even more power. Mercedes will also likely offer a version of the car with their 4Matic all-wheel-drive system in the future.
The new E-Class will ride on top of an evolutionary version of Mercedes’ MRA chassis architecture – the same architecture that is used on the current-gen C-Class.
