Considering how popular Mercedes-Benz models have been to tune and modify throughout the past decade, it’s quite surprisingly how few firms were brave enough to tweak the range-topping Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. One of the companies that did so was Hamann with its rather-insane Volcano package.

While it isn’t known just how many Hamann Volcano SLR’s have been produced, one very special bright yellow is currently up for sale from Al Ain Class Motors in Dubai with an asking price of $343,465.

It doesn’t take a genius to notice the visual differences between the Hamann Volcano and a standard SLR. For starters, the front end includes a new carbon fibre front splitter as well as a custom bonnet with a large area finished in glossy carbon fibre. Other visual modifications include the flared wheel arches, bespoke side skirts, roof scoop, matte black and yellow wheels and at the rear, a towering carbon wing and a menacing diffuser.

Inside, there are new lightweight racing seats trimmed in black alcantara and complete with yellow contrast stitching. Certainly the most eye-catching elements of the cabin are the yellow carbon fibre components such as the gauge cluster surround, elements of the steering wheel, transmission tunnel and centre console.
