Video: 1500hp Porsche 911 GT3 Spins at 320 km/h!

Thanks to its rear-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive, the Porsche 911 GT3 has long been considered one of the market’s most enjoyable sports cars to drive. While in 997-generation spec, the GT3 delivers an impressive 409 hp which is arguably more than enough for the street, many GT3s are heavily modified and the following is one of them.

Upgraded to pump out a rather insane 1500 hp and retaining its rear-wheel drive system, this 911 GT3 is a drag racing monster and recently competed at the Shift Sector Airstrip Attack in California in October.

In the midst of a blisteringly fast run however, the rear-end of the sports car started to come lose and wiggle at in excess of 320 km/h. Initially, the driver managed to control the slides but faced with limited room on the runway to slow down, he had to start braking which ultimately resulted in the GT3 spinning out of control.

Thankfully, no damage was done other than to the tyres.
