At Silverstone Auctions’ recently Porsche Sale 2015, a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring sold for an impressive 410,725 pounds. It was one of many classic and modern Porsche models sold throughout the auction.

The 1973 Carrera RS 2.7 in question has passed through multiple car collections and is one of just 1508 examples ever produced. This example is special in that it has been built to Touring specification meaning it features the lighter construction of the Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight but with the luxuries offered in Touring-spec. It was expected to sell for between 375,000 and 425,000 pounds.

A total of 57 other Porsche models were sold throughout the auction. They included everything from a 1960 Porsche 356 B Super 90 selling for just under 16,000 pounds right through to a 2009 Porsche 911 GT3 and two 2003 Porsche 911 GT3 RS models.
