Petty’s Garage has just unveiled its 2016 Ford Mustang GT King Edition before SEMA 2015.

The car is available in both fastback and convertible guises. All models are powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine installed with a potent supercharger, modified ECU, cold air intake and a MagnaFlow exhaust. These modifications see the American muscle car produce 670 hp, representing a 43 hp gain over Petty Garage’s Mustang from last year. A 727 hp upgrade is also available for those looking for the ultimate in performance.

Alongside the modified engine, the Petty’s Garage Ford Mustang GT King Edition includes 20-inch HRE wheels, adjustable sway bars, Ford Performance TrakPak halfshafts and a modified rear axle. When customers opt for the King Premier Edition, they also receive high performance brakes, a distinct leather interior and new paint scheme.

A total of 300 King Edition models will be produced. Of that production run, 243 units will be the standard King Edition, 43 will be the King Premieres and just 14 will be the King Premiere Convertibles. Prices range from $67,495 to $90,495.
