Facelifted Mercedes-Benz SL Drops Its Camo

A new prototype of the facelifted 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL has been spied testing in Germany. This car is sporting very little camouflage and provides us with a good view of the car before its expected public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2015 next month.

In typical Mercedes-Benz style, the facelifted SL won’t be dramatically different than the current car. With that in mind, tweaked front and rear bumpers are believed to be on the cards as is a new bonnet and front grille. Headlights closely resembling those of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe can be expected. Additionally, the Multibeam LED technology is tipped to be used.

Further visual giveways for the facelifted SL will include thinner taillights and redesigned exhaust tips. Inside, a number of visual modifications are expected with the COMAND multimedia system the most likely element to be tweaked.

There’s a possibility that the facelifted SL will become the third Mercedes-Benz AMG Sport model. Alongside all the standard variants and this potential AMG Sport model, the range-topping SL63 AMG will also be facelifted.
