According to new reports, Porsche is in the midst of developing a third crossover to sit below the Macan in the brand’s range.
German publication Auto Bild claims that the company’s new crossover will launch before 2020 and be previewed with a design concept in the coming two years. The Macan has proven extremely popular for the automaker so it is understandable that it wants to make the most of soaring demand for SUVs and crossovers.
Specific details about the car remain limited but it is expected to be based around a modular platform from within the Volkswagen Group. If that is the case, it may be offered as standard with rear-wheel drive but will likely also be offered with all-wheel drive.
Beyond the vehicle’s mechanicals, it is tipped to feature a more aggressive design than both the Macan and Cayenne.
