On the back of the BMW M2‘s recent online debut, tuning company Hamann has posted a picture online previewing its tuning kit for the German sports car.

The Hamann BMW M2 pictured has only been rendered with a set of custom wheels but it is inevitable that Hamann is also working on a bodykit for the car as well as a number of performance modifications.

Whenever Hamann releases its tuned M2, it could prove a very tempting alternative to the BMW M4. While the M2’s turbocharged engine produces 365 hp in standard guise, that figure could be quite easily lifted into the 400 hp range, edging close to the 425 hp offered by both the BMW M4 and M3 sedan.
