The European order books for the McLaren Sports Series have just been opened alongside the announcement of pricing of the 570S and 540C models in Europe.

In Europe, customers of the potent McLaren 570S will have to hand over at least 143,250 euros while the cheaper 540C retails from 126,000 euros. The first European customer deliveries of the 570S are expected before the end of the year while the first 540C models will reach customer hands in the second quarter of 2016.

The 570S is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 570 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The power is transferred to the rear axle by a 7-speed automatic gearbox. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 328 km/h.

As for the entry-level McLaren 540C, it utilises the same engine but instead produces 540 hp. It has been created to rival the Porsche 911 Turbo and Mercedes-AMG GT and doesn’t come with all the luxuries of the 570S.
