With a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine delivering 552 hp and a potent all-wheel drive system, the Audi R8 GT Spyder is insanely fast. When racing against a Koenigsegg One:1 however, it looks slow.
At the most recent Vmax event in the United Kingdom, an R8 GT Spyder hit the runway alongside The BHP Project’s blue carbon fibre Koenigsegg One:1. Despite outlaunching the Swedish hypercar, the R8 soon gets overtaken and absolutely demolished by the One:1. In a matter of ten seconds, the One:1 not only passes the R8 but also almost completely disappears into the distance.
Beneath the skin, the Koenigsegg One:1’s twin-turbocharged V8 delivers 1341 hp and 1371 Nm of torque. When combined with an overall weight of just 1341 kg, the One:1 features a perfect 1 hp to 1 kg power to weight ratio.
