On the back of its ongoing public debut at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, BMW has just released a new UK promo for the brand new 2015 7-Series. Highlighting the vehicle’s carbon fibre underpinnings as well as its key features like the advanced headlights and use of gesture control, the advertisement is certainly one of the best we’ve seen for quite some time.
Arguably the most significant advancement for the new 7-Series is its use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic throughout. Thanks to this lightweight material as well as aluminium and light steel for the chassis and body construction, the car’s weight has been reduced by 130 kilograms. These materials have also increased the strength and rigidity of the car.
At launch in the United Kingdom, the new 7-Series will be available in an array of guises. These will include the 740Li, 740Li M Sport, 730d, 730d xDrive, 730d M Sport and three further 730d derivatives.
The cheapest model in the UK is the 730d starting at 64,530 euros with the standard eight-speed automatic transmission.
