Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has just announced the development of a brand new luxury hotel for the capital city of Nigeia.

The hotel will be located in Abuja and is tipped to open in 2019. It will be situated at the heart of the city’s central business district and just 30 km from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. It will also be located near the upcoming International Conference Centre due for completion the year before, in 2018.

Dubbed Fairmont Abuja, the hotel will feature 270 guestrooms and suites. It will also boast 50 residences and over 2400 square metres of meeting and event space including an advanced ballroom. Elsewhere will be 850 square metres of spa and fitness facilities as well as an expansive gymnasium and a selection of outdoor swimming pools. A number of the leisure facilities will be available to local residents through membership programs.

On a dining front, Fairmont is planning an all-day dining option, boutique cafe, pool bar, entertainment bar and two speciality restaurants serving some fine cuisine. .
