The BAC Mono is one of the fastest and most driver-focused cars on the market. With this in mind, the small British automaker has unveiled a new special edition variant created for life on board the world’s premiere superyachts, appropriately dubbed the BAC Mono Marine Edition.
The BAC Mono Marine Edition has been designed to easily fit within storage areas of large yachts and features a number of bespoke materials to ensure it can withstand life on the seas. For example, it now features anti-corrosive ultra high-specification components as well as a proprietary lifting system. Additionally, the Mono Marine Edition includes an Environmental Control Container System while owners of the car are also able to customise its interior and exterior design to reflect their tastes and yacht.
Powering the BAC Mono Marine Edition will be the customary Mountune 2.5-litre engine delivering a total of 305 hp and couple with an F3- sourced Hewland FTR transmission driving the rear wheels. The car has been created in collaboration with Camper & Nicholsons.

The Mono is a lightweight, ultra high-performance supercar, capable of over 170 mph, 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds, and is the fastest car on road legal tyres ever to appear on Top Gear’s Power Lap. The new Marine Edition Mono will be custom designed for life on board the world’s premier superyachts, weighing only 580Kg and will be powered by a new Mountune 2.5L engine that produces 305 horsepower, delivered through a Hewland FTR gearbox found on current F3 race cars. The Mono’s reduced weight will allow for easy hoisting on and off yachts, using on board cranes.
