The very first video showcasing the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo in action has just been released following the car’s debut at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015. The video includes comments from some of the key members from Hyundai behind the futuristic racer with it acting as a short promotional tool for the company’s high-performance ‘N’ division.
Hyundai has imagined the car with a hydrogen fuel cell system. It utilises two fuel cell stacks making for a combined 670 hp while the super capacitor delivers an extra 201 hp, generated from energy regeneration. The car then sends this power to the ground via four independent in-wheel motors providing exceptional traction.
Elsewhere, the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo utilises a rigid carbon fibre reinforced monocoque structure meaning the car weighs a mere 972 kg, resulting in a truly epic power-to-weight ratio.
The car also features a very aerodynamic shape which includes a selection of potent air brakes. At the front, the Hyundai Vision GT car is characterised by L-shaped LED headlights as well as a similar overall shape to modern LMP1 cars. As such, it features a large aerodynamic fin stretching from the roof through to the rear.
