Last year, Lamborghini set a new sales record after delivering a total of 2530 vehicles.

That figure represents a 19 per cent jump over the 2013 sales figures and is exactly 100 more units than the previous sales high of 2430 cars which Lamborghini sold in 2008 just before the global financial crises.

Unsurprisingly, the launch of the Lamborghini Huracan last year is the key reason for the sales successes. Additionally, the range-topping Aventador continues to prove popular amongst Lamborghini enthusiasts. Despite the impressive sales of last year, the Italian automaker is set to surpass 2014 figures this month.

In an interview with Reuters, Lamborghini chief executive Stephan Winkelmann said “We believe we will conclude the 2015 business year in a better way than the previous year.
