After a number of sketches of the Audi e-tron Quattro Concept emerged last month, the German marque has just released a teaser video of the car. Showing the vehicle being sketched by an Audi designer, it provides us with a rather revealing view of the car. The car previews an upcoming all-electric SUV from the firm dubbed the Audi Q6. When the Q6 launches, it will directly rival the Tesla Model X.

Underpinning the e-tron Quattro Concept is the German automaker’s latest longitudinal modular platform with it sitting between the Audi Q5 and Q7 in terms of length. From a design front, this video shows that the electric Audi SUV features a very sleek design and actually has a drag co-efficient of just 0.25.

The front is characterised by a large upright grille as well as a unique set of headlights unlike those from other existing Audi models. The windscreen is heavily raked while the side windows are also very narrow due to the low roofline. An aggressive roof spoiler is also visible at the rear alongside the small rear window, sharp taillights and bold bumper/diffuser package.

The Audi e-tron Quattro Concept features a large lithium-ion battery pack located in between the axes. It has been mounted low down in the car to ensure the lowest possible centre of gravity and a balanced axle load distribution. Also found on the concept are three electrics two of which drive the rear axle while one drives the front.
