Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Readying Indonesian Resort

Movenpick Hotels & Resorts is readying its expansion across Indonesia which will see the opening of the Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran in the third quarter of 2016 in Bali. It will be the company’s first property in Indonesia.

Beyond the opening of this resort, Movenpick is considering opening resorts in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bandung. Elsewhere across South-East Asia, Movenpick is opening seven other resorts in the next three years in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam.

As for Movenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran itself, it will feature a Balinese-inspired design and consist of 295 rooms including six suites. Elsewhere will be a 500 square metre ballroom, business centre and meeting rooms, library, spa and gym. The rooftop lounge and hotel also promises to be exceptional as will the small mall home to a number of boutiques, restaurants and even a Movenpick ice cream parlour.

Discussing the upcoming Bali resort, chief operating officer for Movenpick Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East and Asia, Andreas Mattmuller said “As the company’s first hotel in Indonesia, this is a perfect place to start. Bali is a holidaymaker’s paradise, and the exclusive beach location of this resort with its unrestricted views of the bay is certainly set to be hugely popular.”
