Bentley has yet to reveal its eagerly anticipated Bentayga SUV and already, a more potent variant has been spied in the midst of testing. Likely to be dubbed the Bentley Bentayga Speed, the test mule pictured can be distinguished from others thanks to its selection of visual and mechanical changes.
At the front, the British luxury SUV has been installed with a new lower splitter while new side skirts and a different rear skirt are also featured. Additionally, a prominent rear spoiler is visible as are a new set of five-spoke wheels as well as larger brake discs and calipers, particularly at the front. Enlarged air intakes are also visible.
As the ‘standard’ Bentayga has yet to be released, it’s currently unclear just what engine will power the Bentayga Speed. In all likelihood, it is expected to be a tweaked version of the twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 which will be available in the standard car. However, for the Bentayga Speed, it will be modified to the 700 hp mark resulting in a 0-100 km/h sprint of less than four seconds.
