The Nurburgring Nordschleife is understandably regarded as one of the most dangerous race tracks in the world. Not only is it exceptionally long, but it features very few runoff areas, exposed steel crash barriers, technical corners and during the summer, relatively heavy traffic. The drivers in the following video recently learnt firsthand just how treacherous the circuit is.

At a blind spot on the track, a BMW M3, VW Golf and Porsche 911 were involved in a crash. Considering how narrow the ‘Ring is, any crash involving three or more cars can have its flow on effects and impact cars further up on the track.
As the following video shows, a number of cars approached the crash scene at high speed. Thankfully, no further incidents were caused but that wasn’t almost the case with a bright yellow Renault Megane coming within inches of hitting multiple cars.
