The Le Royal Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon is located on a towering hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated approximately 15 kilometres from the downtown and the airport and the property is also in close vicinity to the Jeita Grotto- a system of two separate yet interconnected caves that were nominated for the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’.
There are 231 guest rooms and suites in the hotel, all equipped with modern amenities. Le Royal is known for its seafood and barbecue nights. Diwan Shahrayar is a good place for grilled meats and Arabic desserts and if one wants to enjoy French and continental specialities, the Titanic (a piano bar) is worth a visit.
That said, the main attraction of Le Royal Beirut is its waterpark: one of the largest in Middle East. Called the ‘Watergate Aqua Park’, the latter spreads over an area of 20,000 square metres. It features exciting rides, multiple swimming pools and even options for casual dining.
Activities offered at the waterpark include Twister body slide, the Kamikaze high-speed roller coaster and the 200-meter Mega Slide Tunnel that takes a raft with four people. Meanwhile, for the kids, there are Junior Slides and Mushroom Showers.
Talking about safety, there are expert lifeguards at the sight and Le Royal promises that all the activities at the waterpark are carried out under professional guidance. The hotel has earned the first Clef d’Or title in Lebanon owing to its excellent Concierge service and it’s also part of the Leading Hotels of the World (LHW).
