Silverstone Classic kicked off on Friday 24th July through to Sunday 26th July at the Silverstone Circuit situated in Northamptonshire, UK.

This year was a celebration for Silverstone Classic as it marked it’s 25th Anniversary. The event focused its attention on the many classic cars both on display in the car clubs and competing on track in one of the twenty races throughout the weekend.

The races across the weekend included The Group C, FIA Masters Historic Sports Cars, Maserati trophy for HGPCA Pre ’66 Grand prix cars and Stirling moss Trophy for Pre ’61 Sports cars. The weekend was affected by bad weather conditions on Friday and Sunday which saw quite a few races being withdrawn or being led by the safety car.

The Silver Sunday parade presented by Admiral Classic Car insurance provided the perfect opportunity for any pre-registered visitors with a silver car to drive their car around the track and partake in the 200+ vehicle parade alongside the selected Silver Celebration vehicles.

Silverstone Classic is know for its Car Club gatherings. As it celebrated its 25 year anniversary, it was the perfect opportunity for car enthusiast to showcase their vehicles to all that attend. These ranged from both old and new, some of which were having their own anniversary celebrations. With 120 car clubs present, our favourite clubs included the Ferrari Owner’s Club of Great Britain, GT40 Enthusiast Club, BMW Car Club GB, Lamborghini Club UK and Porsche Club GB.

Morgan Motor Company had on display several stunning vehicles which included the new AR Plus 4 powered by a 225 hp Cosworth 2.0-litre engine and the Morgan Three Wheeler. The stand was situated in front of the 40 m Giant wheel which provided a perfect back drop.
