Video: Hyundai i20 WRC Escapes Tractor Crash Narrowly!

Hyundai Motorsport driver Thierry Neuville came close to plunging into a tractor while testing his Hyundai i20 WRC for Rallye Deutschland 2015. The Belgian driver who finished sixth last weekend in Poland was coming in hard when suddenly a tractor jumped into the road from a nearby plantation. With less distance to react and a narrow road to play with; he displayed the superior stopping power of his brakes enough for him to miss the tractor.

The driver of the tractor had started pulling out upon realizing the incoming danger. Needless say the braking system on the car played the biggest role here. The Hyundai i20 WRC uses ventilated Brembo disc brakes sizing 355mm on tarmac and 300mm on gravel, they are mated to air-cooled 4-piston callipers.
