MC-Chip DKR has just become one of the first tuners to reveals its range of performance modifications for the brand new Mercedes-AMG GT and GT S.
The same ‘Stage 1’ package is offered for both the AMG GT and GT S models and results in the same performance gains for both variants. With that in mind, power from the GT’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 is lifted from 462 hp and 600 Nm of torque up to 590 hp and 750 Nm. As for the GT S, it also delivers the same 590 hp and 750 Nm rather than the standard 510 hp and 650 Nm.
Alongside the boost in horsepower and torque, the top speeds of both cars rise from 304 km/h and 310 km/h respectively up to 320 km/h. Additionally, the 0-100 km/h sprint time decreases to 3.6 seconds for both cars.
All of the performance gains come thanks to a software upgrade which can be purchased for 1899 euros. The same upgrade package is offered for the 2015 Mercedes-AMG C63 and C63 S models.

“MERCEDES-AMG GT and GT S with still more power thanks to MCCHIP-DKR
The mcchip-dkr company from Mechernich at the gates of the Eifel mountains is well known for highly developed car chip tuning “made in Germany”. The four wheeled “patients” demand less of fuel giving a plus of power and lots of driving fun. And besides all, the mcchip-dkr professionals are occupied as well known with eco optimizing a. o. of lorries, agricultural vehicles and even boats.
It is a matter of fact that the two brand new Mercedes models AMG GT and AMG GT S do not belong to the category of underpowered vehicles already ex factory. In spite, Danny Kubasik and his team have decided to offer for both variants of the vehicle (second after SLS developed by AMG itself) a power uprating. Both the GT with its serial values of 462 HP (= 340 kW), 600 Nm of max. torque and 304 kmph (188 mph) Vmax and the GT S with 510 serial HP (= 375 kW), 650 serial Nm and 310 kmph (192 mph) serial Vmax in mcchip-dkr stage 1 come up to impressive 590 HP (= 434 kW), 750 Nm of max. torque and 320 kmph (198 mph) Vmax, whereat the “normal” for GT S acceleration value (from 0 to 60 mph) of 3.8 sec. in stage 1 goes back to 3.6 sec. This power uprating is offered for AMG GT and AMG GT S for 1,899.00 Euro.
In these newly developed series Mercedes uses an AMG 4.0 liters V8 petrol engine with bi-turbo charger. This kind of power uprating by means of software mcchip-dkr offers only since recently. Less haste, more speed… That is the case also for Mechernich. The impressing final performance results are generated solely by modifications of the engine map. The mentioned AMG 4.0 liters V8, by the way, is used also in the new C-class models. The models C63 and C63 S offer the same power values as for the GT and GT S models – at the same price of 1,899.00 Euro. Except the maximal torque, that makes even 780 Nm to drag on the crank because of a gear box with more stableness. Additionally, in case of C63 and C63 S the Vmax lock is unlocked.”
