Facelifted Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG leaks

It has been confirmed that the facelifted 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class including the range-topping A45 AMG will be on show at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015. After Goodwood, the cars will celebrate their official worldwide debuts at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015.

It seems likely that Mercedes-Benz will preview the A-Class with a range of lightly disguised prototypes at Goodwood. It remains to be seen if the cars will run up the famous hill climb or if they will just be on static display. Whatever the case may be, attendees at Goodwood FoS will get their first chance to see the refreshed A-Class in the flesh albeit under camo.

Recent images have revealed that the 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class range will be distinguishable from the current model thanks to new headlights, taillights and front and rear bumpers.

As for the range-topping A45 AMG, the German marque has revealed that the new car will get more power and torque to take back its crown from the Audi RS3 Sportback. According to the most recent information, the hot hatch’s 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine will be upgraded from the current 355 hp to 376 hp. Additionally, a range-topping A45 AMG S variant could be offered with 395 hp on tap.
