Ten illegal immigrants have been found stowed away in the trunks of brand new Maseratis on their way to dealerships.
The immigrants were found by Surrey Police in England who ended up finding no less than 10 individuals hidden in the trunks of the Maseratis. According to BBC, the individuals are likely from Vietnam. Nine of the ten immigrants were sent to the UK Visa and Immigration centre in Dover, Kent. The remaining individual, a juvenile, was taken into custody awaiting help from social security services.
Police did not arrest the driver of the car transporter, suggesting that he had no knowledge of the individuals hidden in the trunks.
How the individuals got into the trunks and for how long they remained hidden was not disclosed.
