McLaren Automotive has just announced the opening of its brand new McLaren Mexico City set to provide the Latin America with the firm’s range of supercars. The confirmation of McLaren Mexico City now means that the British marque has eighteen retailers across America. Fourteen of those are in the U.S. while two are in Canada and two are now in Latin America.
McLaren Mexico City is located in Santa Fe and will official open in May this year. McLaren has teamed with retail partner, the Herrera Group, for the facility. When McLaren Mexico City opens its doors, it will offer the marque’s full range of models from the 650S coupe and spider to the recently revealed 675LT and the McLaren Sports Series arriving early next month in New York.
Discussing the dealership, vice president of McLaren North America Tony Joseph said, “We are pleased to announce our entry into the Mexican market. The McLaren brand is well-known amongst Mexican automotive and racing fans, so we are excited to make our range of groundbreaking sportscars available to enthusiasts with the Herrera Group.”
Chief executive of McLaren Mexico City for the Herrera Group, Josemaria Herrera Garcia expanded on this by saying “It is very exciting to represent the McLaren brand in Mexico. As a nation we have always been very passionate about Formula 1, following McLaren since its early start, and we join the brand at an exciting time thanks to the upcoming new models such as the 675LT and Sport Series. We are very proud to bring this heritage and technology to the streets of Mexico with McLaren Automotive.”
