Having had the privilege of driving the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car while also riding shotgun in it at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, we know firsthand just how truly phenomenal it is. For those who will never get the chance to get behind the wheel or into the passenger seat of the Veyron Vitesse (the vast majority of the world!), the following clip should give you an idea of what it is like inside the world’s fastest convertible.
The video shows this particular Veyron Vitesse on a number of scenic country roads. Additionally, numerous hard acceleration runs are done in the French supercar. Of course, only a tiny percentage of the car’s capabilities can be explored on public roads but it is eye-opening nonetheless!
In case you needed reminding, the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car is powered by an 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine delivering 1200 hp at 6400 rpm and 1500 Nm of torque between 3000 and 5000 rpm. In Veyron Super Sport specification, the car can reach 431 km/h (267.8 mph) while the top speed of the Vitesse (introduced in 2012) sits at 408.84 km/h (254.04 mph).
