Just yesterday, the revelation came that when the facelifted Porsche 911 range hits the market in 2016, all 911 models except the GT3 and GT3 RS will be turbocharged. Now the German marque has confirmed to Autocar that it is working on a supercar to sit between the Porsche 911 and the range-topping Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid hypercar.

Details about the new Porsche supercar remain scarce but Porsche product boss Wolfgang Hatz revealed to Autocar that the new model will arrive before the year 2020.

Autocar reports that the new Porsche supercar could use the brand new V8 engine currently being developed by the German marque for the next-generation Panamera and Cayenne. Power from such a model would likely sit around the 700 hp mark.
