Bentley

Bentley is the latest automaker to post its 2014 sales results with the British luxury marque also posting a record breaking year in sales.

Last year, Bentley managed to sell 11,020 cars which is a 9 per cent jump over the 10120 units Bentley sold in 2013. Bentley accounts the increase in sales to the launch of cars like the new Bentley Continental GT V8 S, the Flying Spur V8 and GT Speed Coupe and Convertibles.

The Americas remains Bentley’s largest market with it closing 2014 out with 3186 vehicle sales which is 29 per cent of all Bentley sales. Elsewhere, 2670 cars were sold in China while in Europe, 1539 cars were sold which is a 4 per cent increase. In Bentley’s home market of the United Kingdom, a total of 1381 cars were sold.

Discussing the results, Bentley chairman and chief executive Wolfgang Durheimer said, “2014 marked an exceptional year for Bentley, as our record breaking pattern continued. We delivered more cars than ever before, and we now operate in more markets than at any point in our 96 year history, a perfect example of our truly international appeal.

“And this as we embark on a milestone year for the company, in which we are working to deliver the world’s first luxury SUV, and set our sights beyond this and to the future to try and maintain this significant period of success,” he said.
