Just yesterday, it emerged that the facelifted BMW 6-Series should debut at the Detroit Motor Show 2015 in early January. Now new spyshots of a facelifted 6-Series test mule have emerged online with the revised interior being snapped for the very first time.

Despite testing in its final stages for the new BMW 6-Series, the interior of this prototype has been disguised with fabric covering much of the centre console and transmission tunnel. Nevertheless, a larger touchscreen infotainment system can be seen alongside modifications to the buttons, switches and air vents. This new touchscreen infotainments system will replace the current iDrive system which is operated by a rotary control.

Outside, the new 6-Series will feature a selection of subtle changes including new headlights as well as new bumpers both front and rear. Additionally, the side air vents will be tweaked.

From an engine standpoint, everything will remain the same although small improvements to fuel economy and reduced emissions are expected.
