A selection of facelifted BMW 6-Series prototypes have been spied testing in recent months and now it has been revealed that the car will debut at the Detroit Motor Show 2015 in early January.

For the facelifted BMW 6-Series, a range of subtle changes will be apparent including new headlights as well as bumpers both front and rear. Additionally, the side air vents will be tweaked.

Inside, the new BMW 6-Series will lose its current iDrive infotainment system operated by a rotary control in favour of a touch-sensitive system. Additionally, a central infotainment system will be featured in the facelifted BMW 6-Series.

From an engine standpoint, everything will remain the same although small improvements to fuel economy and reduced emissions are expected.
