The upcoming BMW M2 sports car is certainly one of the most talked about vehicles in recent times. As a result of this, a number of rendering artists have attempted to render how the spiced-up 2-Series variant could look. The latest to do just that is expert rendering artist WildSpeed for Bimmer Post and 2Addicts.
From a styling standpoint, this M2 has been rendered with a new hood featuring slimline air extractors, a more aggressive front bumper inspired by the latest M3/M4 as well as some new LED headlights with L-shaped daytime running lights. Elsewhere, we have a blacked out kidney grille, front splitter, new sport wheels, M4 inspired wing mirrors, a carbon fibre roof, flared arches and the obligatory high rear wing.
As for what will power the M2, the latest reports indicate that a brand new, next-generation 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder is likely to be given the green light. Designated as the S57 B30, the new engine will feature different internals to the same sized ‘six from the M3/M4. All up, it should deliver around 370 hp and come fitted with either a six-speed manual transmission or alternatively, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
