Since production of the immensely popular Audi R8 began back in the middle of 2007, the car has been produced at the firm’s factory in Neckarsulm, Germany. Moving forward however, production is taking place at a brand new facility in Heilbronn.

Up until this production shift, select processes in the car’s production took place in separate locations within the Neckarsulm factory. Now all of these processes are taking place in the same area of the Heilbronn plant dubbed Audi Böllinger Höfe. As a result, the company says the new facility provides more efficiency with it also home to an advanced logistics centre.

Starting in mid-next year, production of the second-generation R8 will also take place at Audi Böllinger Höfe.
