There’s no denying that fact that Tesla Motors has very big plans not just for its current all-electric Model S but also the upcoming Model X and Model 3. Currently all of Tesla’s cars are produced in the U.S. but to extend global sales, international factories are being assessed and according to new reports, a fully-fledged Tesla Motors factory could be opened in Slovakia.

It is suggested that Tesla is in talks with local officials about opening up a plant which would serve as its main production centre for European bound vehicles. The company currently runs an assembly plant in the Netherlands which adds the final touches to vehicles shipped from the U.S.

According to a spokesperson for the Slovak Economy Ministry, ““The SARIO agency (Slovak Agency for Development of Investments and Trade)has established contact with Tesla Motors representatives who are considering opening a plant in Europe over the long-term horizon.”
