Extra Long-Wheelbase S-Class Could be Mercedes-Maybach

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman Could Cost $1 Million

At next month’s Los Angeles Auto Show 2014, Mercedes-Benz is set to unveil the extra-long-wheelbase variant of the popular S-Class. For quite some time, we’ve known that the car will resurrect the Maybach name and now it has emerged that future, super-luxury S-Class models could be named Mercedes-Maybach cars.

Such a decision would reflect the company’s recent decision to drop the Benz name from its high-performance AMG GT and C63 models.

The new Mercedes-Maybach model heading to Los Angeles will reportedly feature a 200 mm stretched wheelbase when compared to the regular S-Class and will be available in a host of specifications. Recently, the upcoming range-topping S65 AMG Maybach was spied testing featuring all the same aggressive design features of the ‘regular’ S65 AMG.

Further down the road, an even longer variant, speculated to be called the S-Class Pullman will be revealed featuring a 2+2+2 seating layout.
