With companies like Lamborghini, Bentley and possibly Rolls-Royce set to venture into the SUV market in the coming years, one couldn’t blame Ferrari for also considering creating an SUV. However, the company’s outgoing president Luca di Montezemolo as well as his replacement, Sergio Marchionne, have revealed that a Ferrari SUV is not on the cards.

Additionally, Marchionne revealed that Ferrari also won’t create a four-door car despite cars like the Porsche Panamera, Maserati Quattroporte and Aston Martin Rapide continuing to prove popular.

In the coming six to 12 months, reports indicate that Ferrari does have some big plans for its existing range of sports cars. At the Geneva Motor Show 2015 in early March, the facelifted Ferrari 458 Italia should be launched with a new 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Additionally, 2015 could see the release of the LaFerrari XX recently spied testing as well as a potential LaFerrari Spider.
