The crew at Ford Racing recently had the opportunity to take three examples of the 2015 Ford Mustang to the drag strip and set some hefty goals for the cars.

For starters, Ford Racing wanted to achieve a sub-13 second quarter mile in the mid-range 2.3-litre EcoBoost turbocharged equipped Mustang. When fitted with a new rear subframe kit, heavy duty half-shaft kit, drive shaft safety loops, a special exhaust, engine calibration, Hoosier drag racing slicks, Weld-Racing drag wheels and a roll cage, they managed to clock an impressive 12.56 time.
