The eagerly anticipated Evanta Barchetta has just been revealed at this weekend’s Goodwood Revival in England.

Born out of the collaboration between British tuner A. Kahn Design and Evanta, the Barchetta combines classic sports car styling with modern day technology. Beneath the stunning, retro style body is a potent 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine delivering a total of 450 hp. This power is then sent through the rear wheels and the engine can be mated to either a manual transmission or alternatively, an automatic transmission.

Production will be limited to just 148 units with each built around a tubular frame chassis while the shell itself is manufactured from lightweight Kevlar and a selection of other composites. Evanta intends to sell the Barchetta beyond the UK market and will consequently create right-hand drive and left-hand drive versions.
