Lexus International has just announced the latest iteration of the Lexus Design Award competition which aims to foster young designs to solve problems and create a better future through their unique, innovative ideas.
This is the third time the competition has been held since launch in 2013. The theme of the Lexus Design Award 2015 has been confirmed as ‘senses’ with designs encouraged to explore the five human senses of sight, touch, smell, taste and hearing in pioneering ways. Entrants will be judged on the depth of their understanding and unique interpretation of the competition theme as well as the uniqueness of perspective and originality of the proposed design concept.
Last year, over 1100 entries were sent in from 72 different countries. For the Lexus Design Award 2015, the twelve finalists will be announced early next year with their entries to be displayed at Milan Design Week 2015.
