On the 9th and 20th of July, the annual Midland Automobile Club’s Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb will be held.
The Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb will take place during the annual Classic Nostalgia event with the actual hill climb itself seeing cars from the 1950s and 60s competing.
During the course of the event, a host of other activities will be held with attendees getting the chance to check out some epic aerial displays on the Sunday afternoon with some stunt planes. Arguably the highlight of the Sunday however, will be the annual Concous which is held for cars built before 1982.
The winner of the Concours will be chosen by motoring journalist and Shelsley Walsh competitor Simon Taylor. The winner will walk away with a silver salver and be invited to display their car at the annual NEC Classic Car Show in November.
When discussing the upcoming Concours, Simon Taylor said, “We have been running the Concours competition for many years and it has become an integral part of the Classic Nostalgia event. 15 of the Concours cars that we judge and select will have the rare opportunity to take part in a cavalcade up the famous Hill Climb course”.
