A new spy video has emerged courtesy of Mustang6G showcasing what could be the new Ford Mustang SVO undergoing preliminary testing.
Clearly this prototype is not the next-generation Mustang GT500 or GT350 which has been spotted testing previously with a new V8 engine and quad exhaust pipes. This car featured dual exhaust pipes and under the hood, something very exciting is going on.
There’s talk that the growl could be being produced by either an extremely powerful four-cylinder or more likely, a throaty V6. Whatever is under the hood, we’re excited and can’t wait to find out all the special variations Ford has in the works!
The 2015 Ford Mustang is available from launch with three engines consisting of an upgraded 3.7-liter V6, a brand new 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and a more powerful 5.0-liter V8 powerplant. The new EcoBoost 2.3-liter engine features direct injection, variable cam timing and a turbocharger to help deliver more than 305 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque.
