Following the tragic death of actor Paul Walker late last year, the future of the Fast and Furious franchise was left in limbo. However, it can now be confirmed that for Fast & Furious 7, which was halfway through filming at the time of his death, will still feature Walker heavily even though not all the filming for his character was unfinished.
According to New York Daily News, four body doubles have been hired and Walker’s face and voice will be added in through CGI. A source reportedly close to production of the film said, “They have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul’s physique and they will be used for movement and as a base. Paul’s face and voice will be used on top using CGI.”
During the film, it is believed that Walker will somehow be retired. Filming recently recommenced in Atlanta and because Fast & Furious 7 follows on from the third film, Tokyo Drift, some filming is expected to take place in Tokyo, Japan.
Fast & Furious 7 is set to hit cinemas on April 10th, 2015.
