While the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster certainly isn’t as famous nor instantly recognisable as its Gullwing coupe variant, it still remains an extremely precious car to this day despite being almost 60 years old. Here we have a stunning Strawberry Red example meticulously restored by the Classic Center.
Originally produced from 1957 to 1983, just over 1800 examples of the 300SL Roadster were created. Each was fitted with an inline-six cylinder engine delivering 212 hp at 5,800 rpm or 222 hp at 5,800 rpm depending on specification. It came only available with a 4 speed manual transmission and tipped the scales dry at 1,420 kg!
