McLaren P1 Prototype

Deliveries of McLaren’s insane P1 hypercar are in full swing, with almost all 375 examples having begun or already completed the journey from McLaren’s headquarters in Woking, England to their respective owners. One P1 made its way to Miller McLaren in Greenwich, Connecticut and was recently photographed by photographer and GTspirit reader, Jeffrey Liu.

The car was a P1 prototype and is chassis No. 001, which means it’s made the long trip stateside since we saw it in a dealership in Malaysia late last year. The car is on display at the dealer in Connecticut for a short period of time.

For those that need reminding of the P1’s incredible performance, it has a 903 horsepower, a turbocharged 3.8 liter V8 petrol engine paired with a lightweight electric motor. When both of the power plants are working in unison, the P1 can reach 300 km/h from a standstill in just 16.5 seconds and accelerate on to an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.
