We are very pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 GTspirit Car, Hypercar and Tuning Awards! For the second time we awarded both Readers’ Choice and Editors’ Choice awards based on votes from our visitors and the favorites of our editorial team. A record of over 25,000 votes were cast by visitors and readers of GTspirit. After recounting the votes and removing any duplicate votes the winners of the Readers Choice Awards surfaced. Together with the favorites of our editorial team this resulted in seven winners over four different award categories. We like to congratulate all the winners with their Awards! Readers Choice Awards 2013

GTspirit Car of the Year 2013: Lamborghini Aventador Roadster

The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster received over 20% of our readers votes in the Car of the Year 2013 category. The topless version of the popular Lamborghini Aventador appeals strongly to both owners and fans. The V12 engine boosts 700hp and allows for a sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h.

GTspirit Hypercar of the Year 2013: McLaren P1

The McLaren P1 won the 2013 Hypercar of the Year Award with a very impressive 42% of the votes, leaving the LaFerrari and 918 Spyder empty handed. With 915hp from a hybrid V8 engine and its out of this world styling we can understand the public appeal of the McLaren P1. Its also the only nominee in the 2013 GTspirit Awards that received its blessing from both the GTspirit Readers and the Editorial Team.

GTspirit Tuning Car of the Year 2013: Mansory Carbonado Aventador

The Mansory Carbonado Aventador conquered over 25% of the votes in the competitive Tuning Car of the Year category. With the Carbonado the engineers and designers at Mansory created a package that appeals to customers to which the regular Aventador is still too standard. The Carbonado set itself apart from other tuned Aventadors with a full carbon fibre body and bespoke interior.

GTspirit Tuner of the Year 2013: Mansory

With more than 30% of the votes Mansory left Brabus and Novitec behind and also claimed the title GTspirit Tuner of the Year 2013. With two mega stands at the 2013 Geneva- and Frankfurt Motor Show the Mansory efforts to get in the spotlight with their spectacular creations was hard to miss and here they reap their reward.

Editors Choice Awards 2013

GTspirit Car of the Year 2013: Porsche 911 Turbo S

The latest generation Porsche 911 Turbo S impressed the GTspirit editorial team this year with its flawless package and subtle but high impact evolution. Its a pleasure to drive and sets the new benchmarks in its segment.

GTspirit Hypercar of the Year 2013: McLaren P1

The McLaren P1 exceeded the expectations of our editorial team by far and the application of hybrid and F1 technology in this segment marks a new era. The majority of the GTspirit chose the McLaren P1 over the LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder.

GTspirit Tuning Car of the Year 2013: Liberty Walk 458

The first time a Liberty Walk project was nominated for the GTspirit Tuning Car of the Year Award and the Liberty Walk 458 was seen as an outsider. But despite fierce competition and a close call it received the most votes from our editorial team. With its low stance, wide fenders and a duck tail spoiler its among the most unconventional tuning cars that hit the market in 2013.

GTspirit Tuner of the Year 2013: Novitec

In a market where tuners have become a dying breed, only a handful manage to keep a forward pace. Novitec is one of them and successfully expanded its business beyond the core brands Ferrari and Maserati to new markets like Lamborghini. This brave approach combined with high quality products is rewarded by our editorial team with the 2013 Tuner of the Year Award.

We like to thank all our readers and fans for their votes and look forward to the next GTspirit Awards!
