The insane McLaren 12C GT3 racing car is set to compete in its first season of GT3 racing in Australia and consequently, will race at the infamous Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst during the annual 12 Hour race there held annually.

Behind the wheel of the McLaren 12C GT3 in the Australian GT championship will be Tony and Klark Quinn who are a rare father-son team. Additionally, McLaren GT managing director Andrew Kirkaldy will join them.

The 2013 McLaren 12C GT3 is the most recent iteration of the extremely successful British born racing car. When compared to the previous model, it features improved drivability, reliability and efficiency while simultaneously simplifying the machine’s mechanicals.

A refreshed ECU, new aerodynamic package, an electrical system and revised suspension dampers are also part of the kit. Buyers can look forward to improved cooling thanks to a new hood and extensive duct work. Additionally, the 2013 McLaren 12C GT3 can compete at higher temperatures for longer periods of time, and the new aero work will reduce tire wear over the course of a race.

In previous racing series held all around the world, the McLaren 12C, let alone the latest 2013 model, has already proven itself to be more than capable with dozens of wins under its belt.
