Following the recent release of the Cadillac ATS Coupe at the recent Detroit Motor Show 2014 along with whispers that a drop-top version could be made available, Theophilus Chin has done that and rendered a Cadillac ATS Convertible!
Featuring the same flowing design as the standard ATS, the ATS Convertible rendered here may be missing the stunning swooping hardtop design of the ATS Coupe, but the end result is still quite impressive. While the Cadillac ATS Convertible has yet to be confirmed for production, if it ever is, don’t expect to see it released and made available to the public for quite some time.
As for the standard 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe, it will get two engine choices from launch. The first is a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, upgraded from the current ATS sport sedan to deliver nearly 14 percent more torque. The figures are 272 horsepower with 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. The second engine in the range is the 3.6 litre V6, rated at 321 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque (373 Nm). Both engines feature direct injection and dual overhead camshafts with continuously variable valve timing. Both engines feature a Hydra-Matic 6L45 six-speed automatic transmission with tap-shift control. A six-speed manual is also available with the 2.0L Turbo.
