We are on our way to the Detroit Motor Show 2014 as part of the Mercedes-Benz Road Trip 2014 which had seen us travel from Houston, Texas to Detroit, Michigan testing out several of the latest Mercedes-benz models and escorting the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The Detroit Motor Show 2014 (also known as the North American International Auto Show) is taking place at the Cobo Centre in Detroit. It is the largest of all US Motor Shows and therefore attracts some big releases. It has been held at the same venue since 1965 and its importance is down to its location. It sits in the Metro Detroit area which is the location of the headquarters of the Big Three American automakers; Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors.

Below is a preview of what you can expect to see at the show!

Sports and Luxury Car Premieres at the Detroit Motor Show 2014

2015 Corvette Z06

First and foremost is the 2015 Corvette Z06 which leaked yesterday. It makes its debut exactly one year after the base model C7 Corvette Stingray.

2015 Mercedes-Benz S600

The V12 engined Mercedes-Benz S 600 makes its debut and completes the brand new S-Class range. If you aren’t keen on an AMG engineered V12 S-Class but want a smooth V12 to power your luxury barge, this is likely to be the S-Class for you!

2014 BMW M3 and M4

Traditionally, the BMW M3 sells very strongly both in the United States and over the pond in Europe. The latest generation sheds the M3 badging for the Coupe model but retains it for the Sedan. They both get an official debut at Detroit!

2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

A big release for Mercedes-Benz. We’ve spent the past few days guarding this sedan, we are eager to see it presented to the American public for the first time at Detroit!

Lexus LF-LC

The Lexus LF-LC gets its North American debut at Detroit. We’ll be keen to see what sort of reaction it gets from the crowds. Lexus is traditionally strong in the United States.

Audi Allroad Shooting Brake

Released earlier today, the Audi Allroad Shooting Brake previews some interesting technology for the future Audi range. Amongst the features, e-Tron, a new MMI system and a new LED headlight design!

Toyota Mirai Concept – Potential Supra Successor?

This one is a little mysterious. It could be anything but many suspect it to be a preview for a potential Toyota Supra successor. The 90’s is gradually coming back to life!

2014 Corvette C7.R

With all the buzz surrounding the Corvette Z06, you’d be forgiven if you had forgotten that the Corvette C7.R racecar is also set to debut. The previous customer racecar did extremely well for itself, can the C7.R succeed too?

2015 Porsche 991 Targa
