Mercedes-Benz Sets Sales Record in the U.S.

On the back of Mercedes-Benz’s recent announcement that it had built 1.49 million cars last year and sold 1.4 million of those, the German automaker also saw dramatic sale rises in the United States.

As a matter of fact, last year, Mercedes-Benz managed to sell 312,534 units in just the United States alone. This represents a 14 per cent increase over 2012 when 274,134 Mercedes-Benzes were sold in the states.

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

When discussing the success of Mercedes-Benz this year, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz U.S.A. Steve Cannon said, “It’s been an incredible year for Mercedes-Benz in every way. We saw record sales, flexed our muscles across the entire product line from top to bottom and brought the customer experience to an all-time high. With the help of our dealer partners and the entire organization behind us, we expect this beautifully choreographed series of product debuts to lead us to another phenomenal year in 2014.”

And if last year is anything to go by, then 2014 will indeed prove phenomenal for the manufacturer. After all, its revised next-generation 2015 C-Class will hit showrooms across the country as will the compact Mercedes-Benz GLA-Glass SUV.

One of the most popular new cars in the United States for Mercedes-Benz in 2013 was the recently launched CLA-Class.
