Short of being official, the 2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo has now been leaked onto the internet ahead of its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013, opening later this week! The 2014 Nissan GT-R Nismo has been a while in the making. Full details aren’t clear yet, although most of the really interesting details have leaked.
We’re told that the Nismo-tuned GT-R gets 595 hp from its 3.8 litre V6 engine. Thats 65 hp more than the GT-R produces in standard spec. The boost comes courtesy of Nismo’s GT3 program. The 2014 Nisan GT-R Nismo features larger turbochargers, revised intake and exhaust systems and new ignition timing.
Perhaps the biggest headline is the Nurburgring lap time which is rumoured to be 7:08, just 11 seconds slower than the Porsche 918 Spyder’s time. The car also features 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/40RF-20 run-flat Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST tires.
Visually, the car features more carbon fibre than ever before. It gets a new front bumper with red details running along the edge, new air vents for the front fender, a new set of side skirts, a carbon fibre rear diffuser, a new rear wing and an interesting rear exhaust setup.
